Model CG - Digital Force Gauge

The CG Digital Force Gauge provides advanced force measuring for testing up to 1,000 lbf of compressive or tensile forces including data outputs, computer and motorized test stand control.

Advanced features include RS232, Mitutoyo and analog outputs, high/low force set points, force averaging over time and remote computer control of CG functions. When mounted on a motorized test stand, the CG can stop travel at selected force setpoints, prevent force gauge overload and provide Go/No-Go indication.

CONSTRUCTION

  • Compact lightweight aluminum housing.
  • Split housing for upright display with shaft up or down.
  • 4 ½ digit 0.3" LCD display and 6 button keypad.
  • American standard load shaft and mounting threads.

OPERATION

  • Peak force sampling rate: 65/second.
  • Tension and compression peaks held in memory.
  • Selectable units: lbf, kgf or N.
  • Simple push button calibration procedure.
  • RS232, Mitutoyo, ±1 Vdc analog and setpoints on 9 pin connector.
  • Bi-directional RS232 with baud rates to 9600 for computer control of CG functions.
  • Averaging mode provides average force over time.
  • External trigger mode permits data capture upon receipt of external signal.
  • Setpoint outputs for GO/NO-GO and IN-RANGE indication.

POWER REQUIREMENTS

  • Continuous operation with 110 or 220 Vac adapter.
  • Rechargeable NiMH battery for 10 hours of use with 8 hour charge.
  • "Lo Bat" display warns of low battery.
  • Auto-off conserves battery power.

  • Includes: NiMH battery, AC adapter/charger, six attachments, case, manual and NIST Calibration Certificate.

ACCURACY

  • Accurate to ± 0.2% of full scale ± 1 least significant digit.
